Book Club Character

I would like to meet the character Melody in my book club book Out Of My Mind. I would like to meet her because she is very intelligent and she is confident. In the book she got all the answers for the Whiz Kids right and beat the other kids without disabilities. Also she understands everyone around her even when they think she doesnt. She is confident, like when she believed that she could make the team and she did. Also she rushed into her classroom when she got her new MediTalker and yelled "Hey, my names Melody. Talk to me!" . That lead me to believe that she was confident in herself.

My Favorite Character

My favorite character is Mrs.V in Out Of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper. I like this charater because she is determined and she motivates, and shows that she believes in Melody. One way that she is determined is that in the book it said that when Melody was a baby, Mrs.V worked everyday to help her try to roll over and move. Her persistence eventually caused Melody to be able to roll across the room. She motivates her because Melody did not want to do the Whiz Kids Competition but Mrs. V motivated her to work hard and try it. She always believes in Melody with whether its rolling over, or winning a competition.

The Last Book I Read

3. I just finished The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen. The book was about a girl named Jessica, who loved to run. But after a terrible accident, she loses one of her legs. Her whole life changes. For one, she learns to overcome any obstacle that life throws at her. And for two, she learns to see people for who they are, and not what they look like. The story talks about her struggle to try and run again, and her relationship with a disabled girl named Rosa.

My Favorite Genre

2. I like to read Realistic Fiction. I like this genre because it could happen in real life. That, to me, is exciting because then when I read, I can put myself in the situations and the book becomes more real, and I feel like I am expiriencing what the character is going through. When I do this I feel like I can relate to the person in the book and feek the emotions that that person is having.

My Favorite Book

1. My favorite book is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I like this book because it is very well written, I couldn't put it down, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The book was full of suspence, like when Katniss and Peeta were left at the end and the anouncer said that only one of them could win. I didnt know if one of them was going to die or what. The book was also very creative. All of the things that the author put in this book must have taken time and effort to think of.
